If only i had a head cam on as was firstly the best ever climb out on any hill, looked out front seen 2 birds and headed for them. Straight up to base in less than 10 minutes. Then from 5000 i headed south east to the clouds and was rewarded with not a blip and only alternative was sun on the ground in front of the windmills and me below them. Then the thermal started with lots of broken edges bringing me close and closer and not quite above so past between them with one lower behind. However i think the turbines were breaking up the thermal and with now Forrest below i had to cut and run. Now the only place was across the motorway with lots of Powell Ines and more windmills but some safe landing options. Again climbed out through broken strong thermals and back to safety but never back to base. At 2 hours i was 60k when the others were at 25 so i had moved fast and low. Then towards the end i think i could of been more patient and could of headed east without easy roads so went the road route to make easy route. I was 12k short of my declared but missed my first take off point due to instant climb out.
Great day out and my retrieve driver was there by the time my glider was away and was back home by 3.45pm with plenty of time to spare.
