Notes

Climb and Speed averaged over 4 second intervals.

These values may be lower than those shown by a flight instrument, which has access to continuous raw data.

Average Speed around course is measured from Start to Finish points.

Track Length is the cumulative distance between track points from Takeoff to Landing.

You can change the default units displayed - see the Options page.

A first flight from Magic Mountain after a very hot walk up. We tossed up between here and Talybont and I think we chose the wrong hill. The very few thermals available were tracking up on the E side which made things really tricky with more than one glider trying to work them.

Managed to climb on my third attempt, having landed on the side, walked up then got tangled in the vegetation trying to run down a very shallow slope for my second attempt. By then was very hot and cross but climbed all the way to the top and then had my first real look over the back. Ooh er, it doesn't look very friendly and I wasn't very high so headed forward to try and gain more height. I couldn't find anything sensible to work so rather gave up and had a nice boat about on the way down to land.

In hindsight, I should have gathered my thoughts, stopped being cross and played the patience game as the Zeno who joined my climb up finally manged to climb out and head over the back. Lesson learned for another day!
