Blue sky day at the tow feild, wasn't expecting much but caught a slow climb off the tow which took me up to 3k prior to fizzling out. Looking back to the field a saw another pilot maybe 1500ft above me - if you could find a strong climb they were pushing up through the weak inversion layer. A short cross wind glide to a woodland provided a better climb up to nearly 5k and it was time to make a decision - Hunstanton for ice cream or the parents house near Kings Lynn for an easy retrieve and free beer / food… Choice made, Kings Lynn it was. A cross wind glide to a woodland on top of a hill and a little searching provided a good climb, this time going to nearly 5.5k and still going up, however i left to avoid drifting to far north towards the Royals airspace at Sandringham / Anmer. One more top up and arrived at the folks house at 2k, had time to take some photos prior to landing in the nearest clear field.
Not the longest flight, but something i'd wanted to do for the past few seasons ticked off. BBQ and beer time!
