Pretty unpleasant on the hill, windy but two slope landings with the wind off to the west. Then a really good climb out to near base which was a lot higher than RASP had indicated at that time. Generally. Turbulent for the first three climbs or so then i spent a lot of time or so it felt trying to stay in lift. Calculated the glide to goal and when I'd got 1500ft spare set off, wanting that margin as the sink after Stafford had been really strong. Then i couldn't get down and got to uttoxeter at about 4000ft despite trying to find sink. Nice landing next to train station. Result.
