Another flight snatched from a doubtful forecast. No stars for Parlick on RASP, a low ceiling when we launched, but off we went following Paul W into the gloom. Nearly on the deck before Totridge, kicking the trees as I scraped over into the lee side rotor, but John was climbing ahead of me, after also preparing to land. And what a screamer! Tight, gnarly lumpy cores that seemed to wander all over the place, but we fought it together back to base, which was nearly 3000' here - maybe we could make something of the day. Lots of mincing about in close formation, taking ages to get past Stocks reservoir, eventually the blue skies ahead meant we were doomed. John struggled on for another half hour, but only slow progress from there. Great trip when nothing seemed to be on, and once again many thanks to Graham for the retrieve from Skipton.
